Since the introduction of digital photography a new revolution has started. In the heart of it is the Phocaccia Institute, providing quality, affordable training to help you make the most of your new camera.

OUR WORKSHOPS

Almost everybody recognizes that "it is not the camera, it is the photographer". If this is true, then it makes sense to spend some time and money on you, not only on equipment. We do offer a variety of "enter-training" options -as we like to call them-, including articles on this website, our free Podcast (available only in Spanish now!, Sorry!) and -of-course- high-quality and affordable workshops. We will also be happy to answer any of your photography related questions HERE.

OUR PODCAST

When we started our Podcast, we took a hard look at the Podcastscape (we sure do like to make up words!) and we listened to many very professionally crafted Podcasts IN ENGLISH about Photography in a diversity of styles, and we determined that we would be more competitive and able to make our mark if we addressed the Spanish-speaking audience. This is why the Podcast is only available in Spanish for now. From Auto to Artist (Weekend Edition) - March 10-11, March 17-18 Weston, FL

Got a new DSLR and feel like you are not getting enough out of it? Feel confused about the many controls and settings on your camera? "User Manual Challenged"? if any of these describes you and you are also very busy during the week, then THIS WORKSHOP IS FOR YOU!

Day-and-a-half "Executive" workshop to get you acquainted with your Digital SLR and its basic functions.
A class intended for those that just recently upgraded to a digital SLR from a point-and-shoot camera. Basic concepts of photography and the optics involved, as well as the effect on the image are revisited. Students are led and encouraged to explore further from the "Full Auto" mode in regularly progressing steps. Class is delivered by lead instructor Huba Rostonics a Photographer and Blogger with decades of experience making images as well as teaching.

Food Photography Get engaged in the whole experience of creating images of food. Do street photography and go with us shopping to the market. See how the dishes are prepared and learn to create stunning and mouthwatering images of them.

This workshop is led on the culinary side by Chef Jorge Fernandez. He has taken his traditional culinary art throughout Spain, France, England, Amsterdam, Canary Islands, the Caribbean, and the United States presenting his delicious Specialty Paellas and other mouth watering Spanish tapas.
Leader instructor Huba Rostonics, a Photographer and Blogger with decades of experience behind the lens as well as teaching will be your host throughout the class.
